I just got it back from FNH after 8 weeks to correct the trigger pin. Went to the range with it yesterday.
Fired 50 rds got home and as an after thought checked the trigger pin. Guess what? You got it, hanging
on by a thread. They did not fix a damn thing (thanks bob). Now would you send it back again or give up
and sell it?

P.S. Gun shoots great and I really like it....damn shame I can't trust it,

GIve them another chance.

Ask that the repair be expidited, as it should have already had been repaired.

Confirm that they are aware of exactly the same problem that you had sent it in for.

Confirm that it has been shot and inspected AFTER any repair or modifications.

Ask that details/notes of any repairs or modifications be documented and be made available to you upon receiving the gun back.

If the problem is not resolved after the above, demand compensation, let them keep the gun, then go shopping for an Hk45, Glock 21, M&P45, etc, etc. Explain that you want them to keep the gun, and cut you a check, because it would not be right for you to trade-in a gun to a dealer with known faults that FNH is unable to repair.

They really should replace the pin with a larger diameter one.

I punched the pin out on mine and lightly coated it with blue loc-tite and let it dry until it was tacky then added just a dab or two in the hole in the trigger with a tooth pick and reinstalled the pin and 600 rounds later it has not moved.

Wow, I never thought about this problem. Just checked my FN 45 Tac. Sure enough the pin is sticking out one side farther by the tiny-est bit. Less than half a mm. That's with just a couple hundred rounds through it. I will go the Lock Tite route mentioned above. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just got my pistola back for the second time....going to the range tomorrow.
I will give a report. The repair form stated a new trigger assembly installed.

Just a note to anyone having to send your pistol in for repairs. The service
dept.was a nightmare. Since Bob left it seems to have gone down quick.
Maybe mine was just an exception.

Hope it works out this time. You did your part, and they had their chance, TWICE.

I have read some of the difficulties since Bob left. Damn shame. A lot of folks took pride in their FN firearms because they knew they could count on Bob.

If not, The G21 and HK45 are outstanding alternatives......

Well, I shot 250 rds with no problems. The trigger pin did not move.
BUT, I missed it when I first inspected my trigger pin upon it's return, The
pin is staked on both sides of the pin. Which makes me believe they did not replace the
trigger assembly as stated on the repair form. I could of had a gunsmith do
that for me and saved all the hassel.
Like I said before...GREAT shooting pistol w/15 rds of 45acp,just a shame
the service dept.went to hell.

Maybe thats what they are doing these days. Who knows.

Glad to know it is running right. Hope that FN fixes their CS problems. People, not product, make it or break it for corporations these days. You simply cannot hire knowledge and dedication. The real stars in the industry pick the employer.

I do kind of miss my FNP-45. But I'm enjoying the flexibility of my G21SF. The Hk45 is calling my name as well, so good to know you are a fan.
