 problems with my fn 45 tactical mags

took my fn 45 tactical shooting today, both my mags locked up after about 3rds, the follower would stick mid mag, anybody else have this problem?

Were you shooting Winchester white box ammo?

They are notorious for that.

When I shot them loaded with 15 rounds the follower would jam up when compressed. 10 rounds worked fine.

I think it's because the magazine spring isn't broken in yet, I only had them loaded a day or so. Anyone still having these problems after much use?


ETA.. Loading them with a mag LULA helped keep the bullets from tipping too far forward and cocking the follower.

Negative brother. No issues here. I have 12 mags. 3 that came with the gun and 9 more than I purchased locally. All have run flawlessly regardless of ammo type.

Aguila isn't known as having the best ammo out there, IMO. My .38spl wadcutters from them shoot REAL dirty, for example.

I would do two things to make the issue go away: use better ammo, such as GA Arms for FMJ practice shooting; & 2) be sure to gently but firmly tap the back of the mags to seat the rds after you load them full.
