Small Red Dot for Ruger 22/45

I have an old EPC, for those of you old enough to remember those,
but it is dead. I would like to replace it with something more
modern.

I have been looking at the Sightmark Mini Shot Reflex Sight, Burris,
etc., and I suppose this is the lowest profile red dot available. Will I need
to raise the front sight to match the center line of the red dot?

I also need a sight that has mounting options available to mate
to my Ruger.

Please make some recommedations.

Thanks!

John

I use a Burris Fastfire on my Buckmark, and am very happy with it. The Fastfire has a variety of base configurations available.

I have a TNVC RDP-II on my MK III, I like it so far!

ETA

I did have to get a Tac-sol rail for it to mount right, the factory Ruger mount would not work!

X02,
Can you send me link where you saw this, or tell
me more about it, like expected availability?

I e-mailed Marshall, and I haven't heard back from him yet.

Please let me know what you know.

Does Burris make a base that would allow me to
mount a FastFire on my Ruger SR9?

Thanks for the input!

The rail is came with the upper and the picatinny mount came with the fastfire.

My only experience with mirco red dots is with the JPoint both 4 & 8 MOA piggybacked on ACOGs. They work but wish the battery life was longer.

The pic doesn't show it very well. But if that is a combo rail, which is the rail and rear sight included. It is a Tac-Sol specific mount.

I use that mount on my MKIII with a Tac-Sol OD green 4.5 threaded barrel. I had a left over H-1 Aimpoint that I use on it. Otherwise, I would have gotten the primary arms micro dot. Everything balances very, very well.

It's the separate rail and sight - not the rail with the integral rear sight. No idea wheter or not it will fit on Ruger recievers, but it woul dmake sense to use the Ruger hole pattern... why reinventthe wheel?

Better pic of mount rail and rear sight.
