My girlfriend inserted the the mag in backwards now its stuck, what is the trick to get it out. its a Ruger Stainless MKlll
any info would be appreciated
I found this over at Rimfirecentral.
I wanted to share an experience that happened the other day to my Mark III Comp/Target Model. While showing it off at work, a co-worker turned the magazine around and inserted it back into the magazine well. To my horror, I heard a click and it was stuck and not coming out. After removing the grips, and the receiver from the frame, I observed that the long curved end of the magazine disconnector had slid into the hole in the Mark III magazine. The only way to remove the magazine was to push out the hammer pin and sear pin and dumped the parts out. Then I got a lesson in reassembly. No parts were bent and it is back together and all is well. Next time I'll show off my Mark II Target instead. If this happens to you don't panic it can be resolved.
Hope it helps you out.
my dumbass did this to mine yesterday. My friend was over and after an hour of dicking with it he finally got it apart. Take an old tape measure and cut off about for inches. now cut off half the width for an inch or so. lock back the slide and go down thru to the mag well on the left side of the gun.. gotta get the mag disconnect released off the tab of the mag
