Wilson Combat lead times
Hey guys,
Anyone know what the wait for a Wilson is currently? I know it's worth the wait, and i should do my best to forget about it until i get notification that my new baby is done, but I'm on month 9 now, and one of the guys i shoot pins with brought his older CQB last week, suddenly i remembered what i had forgotten since 7/20/11. I figured they are busy building and if i can get an idea here it's one less phone call they have to answer.
That wait is the reason I havent ordered a WC yet..
An email just for a status or an ETA would not be unreasonable. Approaching a year seems like a phone call is not out of order.
Colt lead times greatly contributed to the early successes of companies like Wilson and Brown. There's plenty of room left for high end 1911 manufactuers.
Even in hard times.

I placed a two gun order three months ago and was told 14 months, but was called back a few days ago about a order question and I asked about the wait time and was told to add another 4 months to my wait time.
Guys,
We are experiencing unprecedented order volume for our 1911's. We currently have orders for well over a year's normal production, and more orders coming everyday. It is very difficult to determine what currently delivery time would be at this point, because there will be a lot of variables at play, primarily regarding component availability. Some guns may get done in 6 months, but it we are short on, for instance, stainless frames, and you want a stainless framed gun, it could take quite a bit longer( that was just an example, there is no "big shortage of stainless frames" at this time). One of everyone's favorite things about ordering a WC 1911 is the ability to order the gun with a lot of options....but that can also cause problems with component availability.
Some guns will get finished in well under a year, some may take quite a bit over a year. Unfortunately, there are so many moving pieces to the puzzle, you can't really tell at the time of your order which it will be

But you can count on the fact that is will be worth the wait
To the OP, feel free to contact your dealer or WC salesperson for an update. We will give you all the information we can!
I waited 7 months for my WC last year. Well worth it. It is a fine firearm spec'ed out EXACTLY how I wanted. Here's a pic of my CQB-E when it was new (best one I have handy):

Im thinking WC is starting to suk.
I got a email notification on the double stamped lowers.. went there and they were SOLD OUT.
so I ordered the regular priced PERFECT Stripped LOWER.
Great..
Went to the gun store to take care of the FFL, He Had a couple of WC CQB's in stock.. fresh off the truck.
SO I had to have it..

My buddy bought the other one. They werent in the store 48hours.. If you find it BUY IT>!
Beautiful Piece.
My $99 lower busted my budget to say the least .. LOL..
I got my CQB... still waiting on the LOWER

Just find one in a private sale or order it off gunbroker
