Anyone have a source for these? Looked at custom aluma-grips but don't really want to spend $95.

There is a Viet Namese producer of water buffalo bone, horn, mother of pearl, you name it. He makes some inlet with crosses.

Unfortunately, I have lost the link to his site.

E-Bay might be another place to look. Lots of small makers post their stuff there.

Contact Larry Davidson at the e-mail address noted on the link below. Tell him what you want and he'll hook you up.

I had Mr. Davidson make up a set of his "Spyros" with a milled pocket for a cross. For the inlay I filed out and scratched up a German Silver cross with brass shield.

I made my own once by soldering together a brand in the shape of a cross and heating it up till it was orange then branding my smooth wood grips to give it a rustic look. Sorry I can't find any pics right now.

I drew up my interpretation of a cross I found on the net and Larry used that as a model. I had to hand make the inlays out of some scrap German Silver I had in the shop and engrave the inner outlines. The shields were cut out of a 45 acp case. All-in-all, an interesting project.
