Just swapped out my mainspring housing.

When i have the bottom pin all the way in, i cant cock the hammer. However when the pin is in just far enough to hold the housing in place i can cock the hammer.

Where did i fuck up

are we losing sleep over this? lol. j/k.
does it have half cock and full cock? if so, you're gtg. if not, you need to keep trying. do you know how to set the two pieces in(i forgot the names)? try looking it up on youtube.
why did you do this: didn't like the msh, ils or magwell?
whenever i get in a rush reassembling this it seems to take forever!
good luck.

The plunger on the bottom is coming down and hitting your pin ( which it is suppose to ) , but sounds like your plunger or the cup that holds the hammer strut is too long maybe ? Try putting a dowel into both to measure and see if the stock hole is deeper .

This is really wierd, because the hammer, in use, actually travels way beyond the cock notch, then as the slide gos forward lets it down to rest on the cocked notch. Take it apart, see what you installed wrong. What brand is this? Some junk no name casting?

Did the wilson internals work in your original MSH?

Got it working. The Wilson main spring retainer was the issue. Put the Springfield retainer in and it all functioned properly.

Thanks guys

Then you must have reused the factory mainspring. Correct? Or is there a terminology issue? By "mainspring retainer" I'm assuming you mean the mainspring cap.
