i dont know about reliability, but I'd go with SA based on customer service alone

What he wrote above. Go with Springfield. Two of the Kimbers I HAD were 4 inch barrels and one was totally unreliable and the other was only partially. I have a Springfield Champion which has been 100% reliable.
