Ext Mag release issue
I installed an Ed Brown extended mag release into a TRP Operator today. I did a function check and fired it using Wilson ETM mags and there was no issue. When I tried a few Nighthawk magazines they only inserted halfway and stopped. I'm not sure what they are getting stuck on, but does the mag release need to be taken down a bit, or is it the magazine?
try more force. The catch has to be pushed out of the way for the magazine to be inserted all the way.
You may have to remove a little bit of material, remove to much and your magazine catch will not catch. You could also adjust the "feed" ramp on the magazine release.
It wasn't a "soft" stop when it was put in. It was a dead stop and was hitting something hard.
Take the grips off and the slide, insert and see where it is hitting.
