stiff safety on my mak

is there any way to smooth up the function of the safety on a Mak?
mine is not one hand thumb operable from the fire position, I have to shift the gun quite a bit to operate it with one hand.

It'll loosen up as you use it. Take it apart and make sure it is lubed.

it's lubed and I've fired over 200 rounds through it.
I even work it back and forth when I'm bored.

My Circle 10 mak's safety was very stiff when I first got it, I'm pretty sure it was unfired.
I worked the safety on and off, it was very hard to switch, I took the safety out and cleaned the whole thing with brake cleaner, and the little spring on the safety that makes it click was full of cosmo, once I got that cleaned out it helped alot, but I still had to work the safety on and off.
