I have a oppertunity to pick up a p08 artillery model pistol for cheap because it needs a few parts. The gunsmith said that it needs a breach block and a new barrel . I know the longer barrel is harder to find. Does anyone have a clue on what it would cost four those parts ,and where could i get them from??? I am new to lugers so any opinions are helpful. Thanks for reading!!!!

An original Artillery barrel in good shape can run you a few hundred dollars. I think there are some repro's out there, but the rear sight will cost you some money. A breach block can be had for $30-40. Contact Thor340 here as he may have access to the parts you need.

Tom Heller MIGHT have the barrel (it needs to include a tangent sight) The artillery Luger will also have a rear toggle link that does NOT have an integral rear sight on it because the rear sight on an Artillery is on the rear of the barrel. The very front of the receiver over the chamber and at the junction of the rear of the barrel will have a notch so the rear sight clears the receiver when it is in the lowest position. Tom is my Luger parts guy. Hugh Clark is my Luger rebarrel guy and grip restorer. Both these gentlemen help me with my Luger restorations. Tom's email is hellerarms@webtv.net and Hugh's is hhclark@wildbut.net
