This is a 100th Anniversary P-38 and believe it has neer been shot. Would like to know what the worth of it is, top dollar, if the right person were to be wanting it..
There should be 4 photos of it at the link...
i am hoping that this link works again. Sure wish there was a way to just cut and paste a photo up here...
thanks very much...
Here is a LINK TO ONE
at Simpsons for $1,295. But Simpsons is frequently higher than a "real world" price.
My WAG would be $850 with box and extra mag, but I do not profess to know
. For a pistol like that, you would need to find a real Walther fanatic as no one else would give serious money for a post-war alloy-framed P-38 that is only distinguished because it has "100 jahre" and "1886-1986" on the slide.
BTW, I couldn't pull your photos up.
Just my $0.02.
Commemoratives, by & large, don't hold their values. Unless one is a SERIOUS Walther kool-aid drinker, I cannot imagine paying $1,000+ for a gun that's worth half (or less) than that.
It may be worth more to someone in Europe than the US, IMO.
In the US, I wouldn't pay over "regular" P-38 value.
Hey guys, didn't see your replies from way bach then until today... just wanted to say thanks,,, and sorry it took me this long to see it and acknowledge..
