I added another image and some more info. I also have it up for sale in the EE

My Grandfather gave me two Luger pistols before he passed which he brought back from WWII. During our recent move into a new house, I unearthed them from the dark recesses of my safe. The one pictured is marked S/42 on top with a "G" as well. All matching numbers on the parts. Straw colored controls and original finish. Left side stamps are eagles with "S92" under. No rust or pitting and has a bright shiny bore. To my knowledge it has not been fired since it was brought back from Germany. The two magazines and the take down tool do not match the numbers on the pistol however. I was thinking of selling this one and keeping the other.

In this image you can see the eagle and adjacent to it is the S92 stamping and a W154 or W54 stamp. The image is not the greatest but even with your eye up close the last stamping is hard to make out.

In this image is the serial number on the frame and barrel. A number just below the serial number on the barrel reads 8,81. Just below the serial number on the frame is a cursive "C". The barrel is also marked with an eagle. #

S/42 only not "G" marked 1936 instead. All matching numbers along with two matching mags, tool and holster. That one stays with me.

Well, thev $2100 offer should tell you the gun is worth a bit more than that.
You might realize $2500 on a good day but the $2100 would be worthy of considering if you want something else.

I had no idea it was worth that. Well, I guess I just have to find a buyer. I like it but even my grandfather had thought of selling it. The other one will never be sold. That stays in the family.
