Used Warthog questions
I found one used for $550 at a gunstore near me. That seems to a good price but I figured I'd check it out here. Are there any issues I should look for before I buy it? I can fire it there so I plan on doing so.
how many mags?
I would not buy a Para Warthog, they are "issue" prone.
I'm not sure on how many mags, 1 anyway. What are the issues that you speak of?

Not the most reliable 1911 ever made.
If considering one, go for the steel frame model. You can also get a steel frame in the older P10.45's. Most of their issues are mag related, a Wolff extra strength mag spring will solve most problems.
I really like the double stack mags but given the responses I'll probably get a Kimber or Colt.
You know, I want one of these, I really want one....at least on paper. The more I read, the more I'd like to know WTF Para is thinking with these? I have read far more negative reviews than positive.
MANY of the reviews are "...I love this little gun, I just wish it was reliable..." and similar comments. Why would you purchase a super compact handgun but to carry often and in defense of your life? If it ain't reliable, it ain't worth the cost...at any price.
Owner after owner have had to send their guns, brand new guns, back to Para for work. If you product doesn't work out of the box, it shouldn't leave the factory.
I went the p10 route when I was looking at the warthawgs.
The p10 was a far better pistol IMHO, only thing I hate is the rear sight dovetail needs hogging out
to fit after market sights and I don't care for the blade type rear sights that came on them.
I have a Warthog that has been reliable with FMJs including WWB and JHPs. Nice little gun but maybe I just got lucky.
