 Para PDA/LDA Mag Discoloration

After having carried two of my spare PDA/LDA 9mm mags in a DeSantis mag belt pouch for quite a while, I noticed that the "stainless" mag body closest to my skin had turned dark, almost like blueing that starts just above the leather and ends tapering towards the baseplate. It doesn't come off with any oil, cleaner or go away with time. As I do swap mags, three of the four are this way. The fourth mag I haven't used and it is OK, of course. It doesn't affect anything except aesthetics.

Anybody else with this issue?

it has been eons since I have bought mags for a P14, but unless they added something to their line, factory mags came in 2 flavors: blued and nickel plated.

I have a 16-40, the spare mag that I carry in a pouch also has the same problem. Where it has come in contact with my skin it's discolored, almost black. Nothing will take the color off. I thought it was odd I'm just glad to hear its a somewhat common problem.
