(Did)May purchase a 13-45
Looking to get something to conceal for getting my conceal carry permit, and all in all, I really am excited for a high cap 1911 style pistol, I found one on GunBroker for what I feel to be a fair price. But I'm also interested in some accesories, I seen on here already a place for cheap magazines, but what about the hogue grips, is there a recommended place to purchase those, and do they come with new fasteners or will I have to purchase those seperately? And if so, where did you pick yours up at?
The pistol is a limited, with adjustable rear sights, but I'll probably swap back to some swept fixed sights so they dont snag on clothing.
Thanks all
Okay, just pulled the trigger. Here's the auction. https://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=116759304
Tell me what kind of deal you think I got.
Looks like a good gun, but I think its an older model...not a big deal to me at all. I do think you got a fair price.
You got a hi-cap for less than what I (and many others) paid for 8 rounders. Good Job!
Well I think all of these models are going to be older models to some extent. I contacted Para, and they dont make a P13 anymore with an external hammer. I did look forever and ever. And found this one, I believe it's the "Enhanced" model, its got the bump beavertail that extends further, extended safety, and a couple other features the older model didnt have. So I'm fairly happy with it...
How would I go about changing the trigger out to a skeletonized unit? Thanks
I'd type instructions all out for you but this guy already did. Here's an excellent write up for detail stripping a 1911:

Hope this helps.
I really did some shopping to find this particular model. Everyone seemed to have at least a 700 dollar price tag and were the more basic model then the limited I found. I went to the local gun store and bought a set of Hogue grips for it, overpaid quite a bit, but didnt have to wait for them to show up in the mail. Because I'm going to kentucky for about 20 days to visit my wife, so I'll take it with me, pick the gun up, and go shooting. :D
