Posted this under "Discussions", but got no response: why all the hype about the PWT, aka power extractor?

Was something wring with the original one?

Is there a retro fit possible?

Good question! I thought the original extractor was good, havent tried the new one yet. I just did a even trade deal on one of my Tec9,s for a new P10 ultra compact and i love it! Was gonna get the Warthog which is based on the P10 frame but i didnt think it was really worth the extra money for stainless controls and a power extractor?

From the pictures I have seen it looks like they made it wider so it grabs more area. I'll have mine soon so I'll let you know when I get it and how much "better" it is if it is so.

Let me put it this way, a tuned bar stock extractor is a thing of perfection.
The same can not be said for most of the production class extractors, and in regards to them, the X-tractor is a huge step up.

Simply, the grab claw on the X-tractor is larger and spring loaded instead of bar tesion load of questionable type production metals.

Futher, although the X-tractor is a step up over there standard unit, it too does take a bit of tweaking to acheive perfection.

Would I mod a slide to use a X-tracotor, not when bar stock extractors are avalible. Would I buy a x-tractor model over a standard Para model, Yes, and I have (SX16-40 limited).
