Tanfoglio trigger as good as a CZ?
Anyone shot a CZ and a Tanfoglio side by side? Just wondering how their triggers stack up.
The Tanfoglio triggers don't compare on the standard models. I'd say 14 pound DA trigger on my Witness versus maybe a 9 pounder on the last CZ I owned. The Witness Match Elite or some of the pricier ones might be an exception.
The one witness I have shot and owned , a .45acp witness P, had an absolutely shitty trigger in both single and double action. No comparision to my CZ75b. Granted it has the omega trigger in it, lots of CZ shooters say the omega trigger is not as good as the standard one.
My Elite Match 10mm (single action only) is, for obvious reasons, better than my old 75BD, double action or single action. Never shot one of the SAO CZ's though. :(
My Witness P 10mm has a serviceable trigger. It's certainly not match. Heavy, but smooth DA and the SA is light enough but has some significant creep. A competent gunsmith shouldn't have a problem fixing it. As it is, it is certainly workable.
I sent my Witness to Chuck Warner, who modified the sear and gave me a very nice SA pull.
