New CCW gun suggestions? 9mm, DA/SA, <$700 NIB

Like the title says, I'm looking for a new CCW gun.
I'd prefer it to be chambered in 9mm, be DA/SA, and have a NIB pricetag of less than $700. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any and all input.

I'm not a fan of them, but have you looked at the CZ line?

Other than that, sig and HK are out, unless you go used

Yeah, I have looked into CZ quite a bit.
The P-01 and CZ75BD interest me, but I have heard mixed things about the polycoat (don't quote me, but I've heard that it can be pretty weak when used in a kydex holster)
I really like the CZ75BD, but I'm worried it will just be too big/heavy to conceal easily enough.

EDIT:
How is the FNX9?
Are they reliable? I don't want to be sending this gun back to the factory.

Beretta PX4 Compact is a nice gun. Fits your specifications, as well.

I have a full-size 9mm and .45, and extremely happy with both. Quite a few threads about the gun on BerettaForum, if you are interested.

Happened to be two minor issues with them. First, a small group of early guns had too strong of a recoil spring. If you get an older gun, plug your serial number into Beretta’s site, and they send you a new assembly if you have one of those. The other was that the Compact has a different front sight than the full-size and S/C. This resulted in issues with putting night sights on Compacts. Solution is to send your slide to Tooltech, and have them drill in the three lamps.

Beretta PX4 sub compact? That's one of the only ones I can think of.

Walther P99AS.

Edit: not completely traditional DA/SA but essentially it acts like one.

I like the HK P2000, Beretta 92FS Compact, and Sig P228. The Beretta would be well within your price, I think they cost around $500 or so. The HK and Sig will be more expensive being German made, but you can probably find either in like new condition for $700.

I really detest DA/SA triggers, but if you want DA/SA it would be really hard to go wrong with a Sig.

You could go used and get a 3rd generation Smith. I carry a 6904 police trade in that I had refinished by customized creations. It looks new is 100% reliable and cost right at $500 after it was all re-done. Other choices I recommend are SIG P239 or P229.

Will 700 get the HK P30? I know HK is high.

Right now I think the HK line is the best to be had

Only Pre 2011 Gen 3 Glock G17,G19

I wouldnt buy a Gen 4 or a Gen 3 because of all the bad reports right now.

S&W M&P 9 or 9C
Then you might need to up grade the trigger

You might look into Cz line since you like DA/SA

Theres Sig P line but they are expensive.

Could go SIG Pro in 9mm
For the price its GTG

For carry, I'd go with the FNP9m (M is the shorter grip version above). Still gives you 15 rounds and I prefer the mag release on the P series guns for carry over the X line. I acidently activated the mag release button on my FNX once while carrying IWB so I stick with the FNP9m for carry these days.

Nothing wrong with a used HK USP or USPC.

I agree with a used HK as a first choice and a S&W M&P 9C as a good second choice.

Ruger LC9. $350 or less for a nice concealable 9mm.

Used Smith 3900 compact series. Take your pick on the exact flavor. Not easy to find, usually around high 300 low 400 range. Best carry gun Smith ever made. Leaves 300 left for ammo, mags, leather, bourbon.

I found a S&W 5906 NIB on Gunbroker. It was advertised as new /old stock. Ad was hard to find and no one bid on it. I picked it up for less than $600. I was still in the original card board box and grease paper. I am one happy camper.

This is excellent advice. Even the lesser models of the S&W 3900s like the 908 or 908S are dependable, flat, and accurate.

Another vote for the Walther P99.

You should at least pick one up and hold it if you haven't already.
