PF9 pocket carry

I currently have a P3AT and am considering the PF9.

How is pocket carry vs the P3AT?

Printing?
Weight?

Is a in pocket holster a must?

PF-9 is not a pocket gun. YMMV.

Stick with the P3AT for pocket carry.

I have carried my PF-9 in the pocket, it doesn't disappear like the P3AT does though, it really depends on what kind of pants you wear, how deep the pockets are, my work and dress pants, are hard to fit the PF-9, but my cargo or jeans with the deep pockets the PF-9 fits just fine, and is no more visible than the P3AT is. There is really minimal weight difference the biggest difference is size, not so much the width, but the length and height are bigger than the P3AT.

I have not pocket carried a pf9, but have handled them and used to occassionally carry my p32. I currently pocket carry a glock 26 and for over a decade carried a colt agent. So I see no problems with the pf9 Provided you are willing to use a good pocket holster AND can/will tailor your wardrobe to your carry gun. I try pants on not to see if they fit me but to see if they fit the gun. I buy wrangler relaxed fit jeans because they are looser and the pocket is deeper than others I have tried.

it's not the best pocket gun out there so I'd recommend a pocket holste to displace the weight and reduce what print there is

I imagine the PF9 would be even easier.

I have carried my PF9 in a DeSantis Nemesis in my front jean pockets. It prints. Not in the shape of a gun of course, but you can tell something is there, like a very large wallet or one of those whiskey flasks. In the other pocket, I have my smartphone with an extra rugged case, which prints badly as well, but anyone could ascertain that it is a smartphone or phone of some sorts.

So I'm walkin around with 2 bulges in my front pockets...I could just be a guy who likes to carry all his stuff in his pockets

Probably in his pocket. I have carried larger guns in my pocket. Glock 22 depends on the pants though.

Is that a PF9 in your pocket or are you just happy to see me.
