Bought a new P32 and took it to the range. First mag of Fiocchi 73gr ball was fine. After that, the gun wouldnt feed reliably at all. After each round the slide would be locked back. Could only make it through one box of ammo. In 50 rounds, there was about 25 FTF. Is this just a result of this particular ammo or is there a problem with the gun?
Try checking out www.KTOG.org for starters, if there is a specific problem with ammo, they'll know about it. There is a ton of very good info, free for the reading, on that site.
Have you contacted Kel-Tec customer service? They are among the best I've encountered and will bend over backwards to help.
I would also suggest about 200 rds of standard ball ammo to loosen & smooth up the internals. This break in regimin is commonly recommended with Kel-Tecs. The KTOG site mentioned above has directions for a "fluff & buff" procedure that will help with break in.
Roger. Thanks - am checking out KTOG. Havent contacted Kel-Tec as they are closed till Monday.
Way back when, I chose the P32 over the P3AT, and never had any issues. I DID do the "fluff & buff" after I discovered the KTOG forum figuring that it couldn't hurt, only increase reliability. To this day, the thing is a little champion. I have my reservations about the caliber, but the gun itself is reliable!
I wish you the best of luck!
