 Just re-joined the Kel-tec club...P3AT

I've been lurking around here for the last couple months strongly considering the Kel-tec P3AT for an "always" concealed carry pistol. Well, I finally found one at a fairly reasonable price...$299 + $20 ship on Gunbroker for a new one, blue slide, OD grip frame. Should be here by the end of next week. Before I shoot it, I plan to send it off to one of the places you folks listed on here as a reputable fluff & buff shop. Thankfully I picked up 150 rounds of ball a month or so ago or I wouldn't have any ammo.

Kinda amazing really how much reasearch I did on this cheap little pistol seeing as how i've already got a couple Glocks, Couple SIGs, handful of ARs, a 338 Lapua, etc etc etc but I guess i'm getting more careful on spending my money these days.

Anyway, Just wanted to say thanks for all the help.

They are great little guns, however I'm no longer in possession of mine as the wife has latched onto it. At least she carries it daily, unlike the ss J frame I bought her. Might want to get another

good chioce!!!! i got mine last month and love it. but before you spend the money on sending it to get the fluff and buff go shoot it since the newer ones seem to not need the fluff and buff to function properly. mine has 200 rounds out of it now with no problem. even HP have fed fine.

got a new p3at today for $250. recoil was pretty sharp, but not as bad as my smith model 642. i was only able to put about 30 rounds thru it while i was at the range, the damn thing jammed at least once on every mag i loaded except for the last one, which was flawless. i hope that it proves reliable, because i really like the combo of size and caliber.

Ammo's too rare and expensive to risk not getting the fluff and buff before shooting the gun. I've only got 150 rounds of ball, suppliers are still out, and everyone is out of reloading bullets so far as I can tell. I received my P3AT last night and sent off the slide this morning to www.goldenloki.com for his $25 top-end reliability treatment (fluff & buff). Looking forward to having the pistol back by the end of next week so I can get it to the range and put a box through it prior to carrying it.

Great gun, I put about 200 rounds through it before it became flawless, Now I take this gun to the range twice a month and it is accurate and flawless, This is my agency's approve backup gun so it is carried daily on duty. I have the chromed slide with OD frame.

Re-joined? If you had one of their pistols before, why in the world would you buy another? Belief in hope over experience?z

Had a P-11 years ago. My exgirlfriend pulled it on me...never looked at that pistol the same again...so I sold it. Gun was always reliable...that bitch just wasn't.

Never have owned a P3AT.

And i'm not really a fan of the P-11 anyway...Glock 26/27 is vastly superior. Unfortunately, Glock doesn't make a single-stack 380 pocket pistol.

SOOO....when I can't conceal a G-27, I follow the number one rule of a gunfight...have a gun...the P3AT is the gun I can always have, regardless of temperature or clothing type.

Got my P3AT slide back from GoldenLoki.com for a nice fluff and buff. 2 day turnaround was really cool. I haven't shot the gun yet but plan to this week.

Any of ya'll had good or bad luck with Cor-bon JHP's through a P3AT? Obviously I wouldn't shoot them a lot because of price and receiver wear but I was wondering if they feed well.

I've got a line on somewhere that claims to be short term backordered on them.
