So I was in my local candy store browsing for a handgun for my upcoming 21st birthday. I have wanted the PF-9 for a while and I asked if they had any, as there wasn't any on the display. So dude goes and checks for me and comes back and says I have 2 left in the back. So he goes and gets them. He had a black one and a grey one. I went with the grey one. So its on lay-a-way until my 21st. Which is pretty cool because I've had trouble finding this gun lately.

A Hogue handall Jr. slip-on rubber grip is a mandatory accessory for it. It makes it way more comfortable to hold and shoot.

I have read a lot about that. I personally have less than average size hands. I really like the way the gun feels in my hands. For most its "too small" but it fits me well. I also want to keep it as streamline as possible. I'm going to see if I can stand the gun without it, then go from there.

I grabbed a Pf9 and a P3AT from my local funstore today. $259 for the Pf9 and $249 for the P3AT. Both are all black models and came in plastic boxes. The Pf9 has the metal mag release button and serial # was RFXXX.

Got 2 extra magazines for the Pf9 , but had to order some for the P3AT. Also ordered 2 more pinky extensions for the Pf9 and 3 for the P3AT.

You got awesome deals on both of your new pistols.......Did you happen to find any ammo to shoot out of your new P3AT? It's getting stupid trying to find 380......

Yeah a buddy bought a P3AT and another got a P32 last week . They were the only 2 they had left that day. So I took a chance and popped in there this morning. I'm lucky I did, as I'm sure they wouldnt have lasted til lunchtime.

I had a LCP before and I liked the size but it was one of the first ones and after being sent back to Ruger to be rebuilt I no longer wanted it. The P3AT is actually an easier gun to grip with the stipling than the LCP was. Maybe be its in my head but Keltec pistols seem to be better quality as of late.

They had a case of .380 WWB and some defensive ammo but I already have a good supply as I own a few .380's already. While I was there 1 guy bought half the case.

damn you did get an awesome deal on yours. I unfortantly had to pay full retail However, I knew this was the gun I wanted since I first handled it, so I don't really mind. I'm just glad I found one in the color I wanted.

I got really , really lucky. I saw one at another shope for $335 and almost pulled the trigger on it. But held out waiting for one. Glad I did, but sometimes you have to do whats necessary. Especially in these crazy times for our hobby.

yeah thats for sure, but I picked up my AR on sale right at the beginning of the crazyness, so I didn't mind to much. Its not like I paided more than retail for it. Plus it was everything I wanted.

Congrats man, I hope you enjoy your PF9. They sure are great feeling pistols.

Just picked this up from a friend last week. By far the best gun deal I have ever gotten....... only $162 as it sits.

It had it's fair share of issues when I got it. The left side of the slide had a bit of surface rust and was starting to pit. It was also missing the takedown pin and the sights were pretty jacked up.

I got the pistol for $150 and it was $12 for a new takedown pin, guide rod and front and rear sights. Then I had a buddy of mine refinish the slide (was originally blued). Not too shabby for $162.

Now I need to get to the range and put some rounds though it.

I really like the looks of the stainless slide. Yeah even with the issues it was a great deal.

Also, what is a good cleaning kit for a handgun? I have bore snakes and stuff for my shotguns/rifles. What do yall recommend for a handgun?

I have to say, I am VERY impressed with this "budget gun". I put ~120 rounds downrange on my birthday without any issues. That was with 115gr Remington. I haven't been able to put it down. I have finger fucked my new gun raw.

Some of our friends place got tornadoed on my birthday. We went out there today to help them clean up. I found out a guy I graduated with, as well as his father both carry Kel-Tec pistols. The son as a P3AT and the father carries a P32. So later when we got back home they got to finger fuck my new gun as well.
