finally got a p3at edit for first range trip!

i have been looking for one for a while and have not found any in the area that had the black frame. today i went to a gun show and found a blued one for 280. i bought it even though i didnt like the price. they seem to be hard to find lately so i got it. im looking forward to shooting it and so far i like the pistol. only complaint i have is kel tec must just dunk the gun in oil and put it in the box and ship it out. lol thing had oil oooooozing out of it everywhere...lol.
finally found some ammo so i could go shoot it and break it in. put 100 rounds of WWB through it and had no FTF or FTE. i did figure out trying to chamber a round if you do not let the slide fly forward just right it does jam sometimes. but i like it and at 7 yards i had a very good group and even punched paper with it at 25 yards. i like it

Under the current circumstances 280 is not a bad price. You're pretty lucky to find one at all no matter what the color.
The challange ahead is procurement of ammo for it. None of my local dealers have any 380 of any sort. Was at a gunshow
yesterday and what little 380 plinking ammo they had was $25 bucks for a box of 50 and right beside it they had 9mm for 13 bucks!!
Guy had some hollowpoint defense rounds which were his reloads for 90 cents apiece!!! WTF!!!
I'll still keep my P3AT for CC however won't be practicing with it like I used to.

yeah i was searching for ammo today for it and no one had any but then i went to cabelas and got a box of gold dots for it for 19 bucks...lol they only had 3 boxes of that and nothing else. i am looking for fmj for it but there is none....lol
