Well, I have been pining for a P3AT ever since they came out and this Monday I picked one up. Found a like new used (2nd Gen.) one at Gander mountainand haggled them down to $220. I finally got a chance to shoot it last evening and I have to say that I am VERY impressed. from 7 yards I shot a 12 shot group into 3 1/2" I'll try to post a pic of the my gun and target later today. I couldnt be happier with the function and the accuracy of this fine little gun.
I have two 2nd. gens. I polished the feed ramps, hammer face and piece that hammer face rides on when slide cycles. Keep it lubed and should be GTG. I use a little bit of Riggs grease on the rails. Goes everywhere w/ me.
Here you go!
It's called Fluff and Buff...and it is good.

See above, I use Simichrome and Wenol metal polish. Found felt buff dremel tools at a hobby store. HD and Lowes in my area didn't carry them. Easy to do, can use drill.
I bought one from gander for $240 a couple years back. Soon found out how sensitive it was to limp wristing, most problems can be solve with a firm grip. Then when clean it would run perfectly for 30 rounds or so. After polishing it as mentioned here it runs like a top. Just keep it clean/don't limp wrist and it'll run like a top.
I have 4, no problems with any of them...1 FTE, last round out of the mag, with 1 pistol...couple hundred rounds through each.
