Just ordered my first CZ. ETA: it's here! Finally!

Just got off the phone with CZ Custom USA. What a change from the norm of crappy service. Gentleman I spoke to was polite and knew my order without asking me even one question! Now hopefully my local dealer won't be a PITA. Middle of next week I should be opening my brand new CZ Customs edition 9mm CZ75 SP01 Shadow. Opted for some of those sweet grips too. Can't freakin wait!!!

I got to pick it up today and I couldn't be happier with it so far. Trigger feels smooth and steady in DA and crisp and light in SA. Can't wait to try it out!

I've been fairly impressed with the guys at the shop.

So far I have zero complaints about CZCustom. I don't know anything about Angus but so far the shop gets an A+. He's ready to ship, my local dealer is slower than mud. I'll be stopping by there Saturday to make sure they are doing what they need to. Just can't wait to hold it, looks like an amazing pistol. I've never fired a full size steel frame, only my fathers G19. Jumpy lil bastard that Glock is. My hands are wide and short so a little more weight should make it even easier to hit exactly what I'm intending to. Pics as soon as I open it ...

I will definitely post tons o pics and my first impressions. I'm wondering if I have to wait the 48 or 72 hours or whatever it is here in Las Vegas to take my pistol home after it shows up at my LGS. That would SUCK. especially since the coming three day holiday weekend would extend my wait. Hoping to go try it out Monday.....

I'm feeling pretty good about this purchase though. I did my homework and I feel I picked the pistol that will easily do exactly what I expect of it. After break in I am going to try my hand at a local monthly USPSA match. I also realized that I now have three guns....... Not sure if there are any local 3 gun matches or not, but it sure looks like fun.

I feel very sorry for you, that is where I was a couple of months back. I now have seven CZ pistols mind you. Got a deal on a 83 yesterday. You will love the shadow.

Yes I've heard these CZ's can be quite addicting. My wife hates the G19 and is as anxious as I am to shoot the Shadow.

Funny story.... Wife's friend comes over and they start talking about personal protection and mace and guns and all options to ward off a bad guy. My wife has never been really fond of guns. Her friend, a very petite woman also pregnant, says to hell with bad guys I carry a .45. Surprised the shit out of me. She doesn't seem like a gun totin kind of gal.

I ask her what she carries. She says she doesn't know the name, her BF got it for her. Says she thinks the name starts with a B. It's in the car wanna see it? She asks me. Well hell yes I would like to. We walk out, she pulls a sweet ass BHP an says " I think it's a pretty good gun". I told her duh. It's a browning hi power. Only one of the most legendary 45s ever. She had no idea. Recently saw her again and she had been reading all about the browning. It kind of sparked my wife's interest in owning and being able to use a gun properly. Sweet!

Saw video of the friend shooting..... Holy smokes she mag dumps at watermelons like Annie Oakley. Tells my wife she likes when they go KerSplat! Now that my wife sees that regular sane people do indeed CCW, she's all about it now. Another Sweet!

I see a BeDazzled PCR in my future, with matching purse holster.....LoL!

I personally don't know much history of the BHP. However I know one when I hold it. Regardless, a pretty sweet pistol. Unless the .40 version is considered garbage??? I wouldn't know....

After you play with the Shadow for awhile, get a P01. They are a blast to shoot, then get a Kadet, more fun, then a Rami BD, then try a Dan Wesson/CZ Valor, loads more fun, etc

Yes the BHP's are also available in .40S&W just probably in less numbers than the 9mm counterpart. Either way, it's a great pistol.

Held it today in the LGS!!!! when I told them I was there to pick up a transfer they asked which one. I said cz75 SP01 Shadow. Three of the clerks all said aaaawwwwwww man you got a sweeeeet pistol. Big guy joked that if he could pick a pistol to swipe and call his own it would have been my cz! It also captured the attention of 4 or 5 guys looking in the display cases.

The fit and finish was immaculate. Perfect in every regard. Background checks are running slow today but I should be carrying it out in the next hour or so. Off to work after that so pics tomorrow morning!

Well..... One way to find old traffic tickets in WARRANT is to try and buy a handgun.

The oldest trick. The computers are running slow today on background checks sir. Maybe go have lunch and come back and by then it will be done? Well I came back, two officers waiting for me. I got really lucky. The officers were totally understanding and overall were the two coolest cops I've ever met. The city cops were slow getting there to bring me in. They decided to release me.

May 2010 was the citation date. Holy crap. I had no idea I had a warrant. Paid the warrant tonight but it will increase my wait by atleast a week.


I narrowly avoided a three day weekend in the Las Vegas City Jail. Thank god I'm just naturally polite, cops both said my attitude was the only reason I was walking away.

Exactly what I said. Shop was cool though. I think they were a little surprised to see me walk back in! Very very lucky. They are holding my pistol until the computers update that my warrant is quashed. Holiday means an extra day for that. Still much better than a weekend in the clink!!

Having just picked up my CZ 75 Shadow T on Friday - you will love it.

Sorry to hear you had a bit of a hang-up in the process.

Atleast it's just a minor bump in the road on my way to CZ induced happines.

I've had the Shadow on my list for almost a year. I dang near caved and bought the standard shadow. Saving took awhile but I am glad I held out for exactly what I wanted.

It's patiently waiting in the shop for me...... Wish I could say I am patient. Anything but!!

On the bright side, instead of mooching 9 milli off pops, I can look around for a steal of a deal for my own stash.

Good looking pistol, in for range report.

It has taken awhile but I have finally made a few trips out with my CZ. I must say I love this pistol. First target I sent out to 25 feet and popped a nice ragged hole on it. Pretty nice. Action is breaking in very nice and just seems to get smoother and smoother as I use it. Trigger feels fantastic both DA and SA.

I tried my hand at a few Bill Drills just to see how bad I suck.... without a timer it's hard to judge but I consistently hit all black in each run of six as fast as I can manage. Front sight is much easier to track than the stock G17.


Only put 300 through but so far function is flawless. Even got a few compliments on it and my shooting while at the range. I'm certainly not a pro shooter but I can't wait to practice more.

Now if I could only afford a Pro-Tek II......

Took my Shadow out last weekend. You almost forget how nice this pistol is between trips.

Nice looking gun, mine is a tack driver.
