CDNN had them on sale today for $369.99, so I decided to pick one up as a range toy/fun gun. So who has one, and what is your opinion of them?

I had one. It is indeed a fun gun/range toy. .32ACP just isn't a viable caliber for anything other than plinking, and it's an expensive plinking caliber at that. I've heard they won't penetrate thick leather jackets even. I thought it would be cool to carry one concealed for fun, or have it on my hip for open carry, but that was a pipe dream. I even tried to justify having it by saying it would be my wife's home defense gun. You found a good deal on one though. If they made one in 9mm luger available to the public I would be all over it.

I just ordered it yesterday, so I won't know if it does have a threaded barrel until it shows up at my dealer. I will post pics etc when if comes in(probably after the holidays)

I don't have one yet, but I have some parts and a couple of stocks for a SBR build once I get the pistol. Dan at Czechpoint (the current importer of the Scorpion) told me via e-mail that a .380 ACP version is scheduled to be imported and available sometime the middle of 2012. Hopefully they will stick to that timeline.

As for the .32 ACP not penetrating a leather jacket, its rubbish. It may not be a super powerful cartridge, but it has been killing people, many clad in heavy winter clothes, for decades.

I shot one chambered in 9x18 ~with a happy switch~ at the CZ factory range a few years ago......if only I could have one here.

I love mine, but the plastic safety broke so CZ sent me six replacements...free.

That is a great price, I got mine on sale for $400 a few years ago...CDNN...they also have mags.

I'm bald so I have to wear a hat when shooting it, my head will get small cuts from hot flying brass.

I can't wait for the two tones to go on sale.

Awesome, quality. old world gun. Check out the archives for a few more good threads on them.

I got 2 if that says anything. Cool, not so practical.

I just bought one before Christmas. I've shot 100rds with zero issues and I'm hooked. First 5-10 shots were in a 2-3 inch group at 25 yards. Unfortunately, the groups got wider throughout the day. I checked the front sight, which the manual says it pre-set and not adjustable, and I noticed it was stamped into the frame with the base pointing to the 1-2 o'clock position rather than straight forward at 12 o'clock (see pics).

Anyone else have this issue?

What kind of accuracy are you getting?

I plan on SBRing it as soon as I find out what's up with the front sight.

I know someone with an original czech skorpian machinegun. Very cool little toy. I almost bought a pistol to SBR, but the stock just isn't really a stock. If you try to shoulder one, you will know what I mean... I'll get one maybe one day, but not today...

I have a VZ61 pistol on layaway, so I should have it before too long. I am planning on SBRing it, but I think I am actually going to buy my oldest son a Airsoft VZ61, that way I can see if it is actually worth SBRing to me. Even if I leave it as a pistol, I am sure it will be loads of fun!

Here's a shot of CZ-UB team shooter Martin Kamenicek showing me details of the Scorpion during a visit to CZ in 2007.
