I have a SA 1911 loaded with vz slim grips etcs in dirty olive. I have a chance to trade for a cz 75 p01 with combat trigger and polished trigger and action. I like the 1911 but don't shoot it as often as I would like due to availabilty of ammo. I have a G-19 that I shoot all the time. What are your opinions overall? Either way I think they are both very nice pistols.

I see this developing into a partisan showdown.

I would vote that if finances don't allow keeping both and you'd be able to get more use out of the CZ, go for the trade.

I recently sold a CZ 97 (.45ACP) for a similar reason. I never shoot .45ACP because it's more expensive, and figured I'd get more benefit out of that investment elsewhere.

if you would shoot the CZ more due to ammo availability, then go for it. no use having a 1911 paperweight around. of course if you like paperweights, then keep the 1911.

I say get rid of the Glock and keep the 1911 and get the CZ

Seriously, everybody needs at least one 1911, but 9mm is much more affordable. Try the CZ out first, because I love CZ's but don't care for the decocker models. Also who did this polishing work on the CZ? That would make me nervous if I didn't know the owner well. David

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to keep the 1911 for now.

trade? no, your gun is about $900 new. A p01 is about $5-600. unless you mean you get money too. But not an even trade.
