So i just picked up a Lorcin L22 Pistol at a gun show as a plinking pistol, ive only read a little bit on them and apparently they arent a super great gun... apparently so ungreat that they are not in business anymore.

Do any of you have any experience with them? it isnt a self defense pistol or anything like that unless my wife asks to carry it, but i have never heard of them until now. Any of you Arf guys have any insite on this company or particular firearm?

ETA:I did pay way too much for it for the low low price of 85 bucks but if any of you guys have had any experience please let me hear your grievances.

The Lorcin is a later model of the original Jennings J22.
The company that produced them changed names and locations several times to skirt many pending lawsuits filed against them by a number of sources for a number of reasons I don't want to get into.

I had an early Jennings J22 back in the mid 80s.
It never did function correctly but worked well enough to hand cycle shotshells.
I used the gun for shooting barn pigeons until I sold it off.
It worked well enough for that purpose.

CCI Mini Mags are a good choice but stick with the solids and avoid the hollowpoints.
The large hollow cavity on the Mini Mag bullet has caused some feed issues in even my high dollar .22 handguns, it is best left for revolvers and rifles.
For hollowpoints try Winchester Super X H.P.s or Dynapoints, these seem to feed well in a great number of handguns. HTH

I shot it today just for some plinking it seemed to like the Remington Thundering .22 rounds i had some American federal .22 it didnt like it at all. for a cheap cheap gun i was quite impressed, i wouldnt use it to protect my life if i had the choice but it worked pretty well.

I had one once, it would feed sometimes.

I owned one that I got in a trade. The extractor spring seemed weak so I dug around in the gun box and replaced it. It would feed 100% with CCI Mini Mag solids. I did some research and that is said to be the preferred loads in that gun.

Ill have to try them, the remmington thundering ones so far feed pretty well. I figure a .22 isnt as powerful as the .380 or 9 so i shouldnt have to worry too much about it blowing up on me.

CCI is usually the best option for those small cheap pocket pistols. I meant to tell you to check out this board if you had any issues with your new toy
