help me choose which tokarev
ok from SOG they have a Polish Md TTC, a Romanian Tokarev, or a Yugo Md57 Tt
ok from J&G sales they have a Romanian TTC.
Which company and which model should I get. I am going to pay (extra) for the hand picked model.
Thanks.
I
Save up some more cash, and buy an original without the added safety.
They are out there, and can usually be found on Gunbroker,or one of the trader forums.
I plan on buying a romanian and polish from SOG as soon as my C&R is processed by them (this would be my first C&R purchase!). I think the yugo has an extra round capacity, but requires special yugo mags. I received a crate (two tins) of ammo from the happy brown truck of joy yesterday
eta: nevermind, SOG is out of polish tokarevs.
i bought a romie from J and G sales, people told me they were more trusting then SOG. waiting for the call from the FFL
I bought 10 fal mags from sog, 7 out of 10 worked, but for 10 bucks a pop when they were going retail for 20 eac, it was still a good deal.
Another option would be to order from Century International Arms directly. They import them and put the (crappy) safety on. I have my C&R, and for a "Excellent" graded Romanian Tokarev, it was $227 shipped.

thats pretty cool. the one from J&G sales was pretty good. nice rifling in the barrel, not to much wear and tear. The extra mags took awhile to clean, lol
try and find a norinco 54-1 in 9mm luger and dont use the safety use half cock
9mm defeats the point of owning a Tok...
in your opinion
The reasons I see to own a Tok, are because they're cheap, well made and shoot cheap and fun ammo. (I love the muzzle blast you get from 7.62x25

)
I see AIM now also has Tokarevs in with shipping for a penny. On the Industy chat board alot of people were making a big deal if these were going to be Polish or
Romanian, seeming to only want them if they were Polish. The Romanian ones they ended up getting look very good and come with all the accessories, so why is
the Polish one still very much preferred?
Thanks
