Anybody have any experience with this neat little pistol? The price is right especially for a C&R licensee. I have only shot 25 rounds of S&B ball and am impressed with its accuracy. I got mine from AIM and I highly recommend them.

My brother has one and likes carrying it when he's on his 4 wheeler. I like the 1911 style safety and the high capacity mag. He's shot a couple of different loads and it has functioned at 100%. We shot it one evening and it had quite a bit of muzzle flash. The price was right but I'd just a soon have a 9 X 19 MM. He wanted a cheaper gun in the even it got scratched up or worn while out an about or left in a vehicle. I think his pistol was a used police gun.

Yes,A 9x19 is a lot more gun. That said, I couldn't not buy it at the price it went for. I own 2 REAL 9's,An M&P and a Taurus compact. The Makarov shoots as good and maybe even better than the 2-9x19's. I like carrying it because it is "Thinner" on my chubby body and easier to conceal. I however need to shoot it more so I'm more familiar with it.There is no comparing between the 9x18 and the real nine in stopping power. If I really want stopping power I have my 45ACP in M&P.That is without question a proven "Stopper". IMHO the jury is still out on any nine and I think the military should go back to the 45ACP.Muzzle flash can be cured or minimized with the proper load.

I got one recently and I love it! If you look down the barrel you will be scared, as it has a polygonal rifling where you can barely see anything. Looks like a smooth barrel. When I got to the range I had a nice surprice: One inch groups at 10 yards with ball ammo. I would say it is a great value for the price.

We have one and it shoots great and very accurate. Feels pretty good in the hand and can be refinished easily by stripping the paint off with auto paint stripper spray. I used Blue wonder to blue the slide and frame.

It's a nice 9x18 option, for sure. The problem is good ammunition. The 95gr Hornady XTP load is slower than 380 and the 115 grain Silver Bear isn't imported any more. I shot some 5 year old Barnaul hollow points I had been using as carry ammo and about half the rounds were so weak they barely ejected. I had to check the barrel for obstructions.

They are great, I have 2, and I am looking for a 3rd, I want a re-parkerized one from Classic Arms, but they wont sell it to me on my C&R in Maryland, even though it is 100% legal.

I would agree with the other posters that the 9x18 is a weaker round, but the gun is accurate, and I can hit more with my CZ-82 then anything else I own. You can complain about weak small rounds all day, and more than half the people here will give you shit about not carrying a 45 or 10mm because it is the best round ever... But in the end of the day, it matters what you get on target, I would not want to be shot with any 9x18, weak or not. And I can put 9x18 in my CZ-82 on target at ranges up to 50m. So I would carry mine, if my state allowed me to carry...

Great little gun, and one of my favorites, even compared to my CZ-75 SP-01, FNP-45, Steyr M9-A1, M1911, and I like it better then a lot of other guns I dont own but have shot.

Get some hollow points and have fun.

Got 2 of them from AIM before. Classic would not sell them to me either (MD) Great guns. Might replace recoil spring with a stronger one. Really helps with snappy recoil

Yea, the wolff springs make all the difference, I keep one with the standard spring in it for home defense, (makes racking the slide easier), and the other with the wolff spring for target practice, what a nice gun to shoot.

At the risk of embarrassing myself I will tell you I dumped my beretta 96 which I leaned to hate and dumped the funds into this pistol and a good amount of silver bear. It is the first pistol I learned to shoot well because it fit my hand and recoiled less than my 96. The finish isn't as nice but it made me a better pistol shooter. Just a nice medium size pistol.

They are about the best $200 gun you can get right now.

While no substitute for a modern defensive sidearm, they are more than capable of holding their own. From a collector's standpoint, they are an absolute no-brainer for your collection.
