Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a small carry pistol and the Kahr CW9 is very attractive. Before I pull the trigger on this gun though, I wanted to check the reputation of the gun. So, please share your experiences about this gun. Thanks

I found the trigger pull to be very long.
Also couldn't drop the slide by pulling it back, had to release the slide stop to close it or the first round would nosedive into the ramp.

I love mine. It's still in the "break in" phase though and will be for quite some time. I've got about 75 rounds through it right now and it's a good little shooter. It's very light, slim, and disappears under a t shirt when I'm wearing shorts. While I will agree with the long trigger pull, I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. It has a beefy recoil spring (beefy enough to stop my wife from racking the slide) I'm pretty sure that's to tame the recoil of +P ammo. In short, I Like it and would not hesitate to buy another Kahr in the future.

Excellent little pistol. I have the P9 which is essentially the same thing and it has been flawless. Shoots everything I put in it and is more accurate than me. As for the trigger, think tuned S&W revolver trigger.

Mine has ran everything I have fed it. I do not like the long trigger pull though. But it is something that can be gotten used to.

I think you'll find this thread very resourceful.

I've had a CW 9 for about two years now. So far about 1,200 trouble free rounds. I only use standard velocity ammo and it's a breeze to shoot. I carry it most often when my G-19 is a little to large to conceal.

My wife has one for CC and loves it. Roughly 400 rounds through it without a malfunction.

I carry one almost daily. Put the 250 rounds through it for the break-in period and you will be good to go. I'm not as accurate with it as with my full sized guns but am very effective.

Got A CW9 with 400 rounds through it.
It will not feed steel case from the magazine. With brass it has run well.
Trigger doesn't bother me.
I wouldn't pay more for a different model!
I was very leary as I had tried a friends PM.40 that was "broke in" and it jammed many times in the 100 rounds Of Fed FMJ that I put through it.

I got my CW 9 back in June and have put about 350 rounds through it so far. I have not had any isssues with it and it ate everything I gave it.

It is now my EDC piece, when not at work. (I carry a Sig P229r at work).

I love mine and it is my constant comanion. I've pimped it out a little by polishing the slide with Mother's aluminum polish. I've added night sights to it (as I believe that all SD guns should have them). No other mods were needed. Two eight round magazines as a backup and I'm ready to go. You might want to get a magazine pouch if you want to carry extra magazines. People have been losing rounds out of magazines if they are carrying them in their pockets. With the magazine pouch, I've never lost any rounds.

The biggest thing is the trigger reset. I've never had a problem with it, but I've read that others have.

I have a CW9 and P380 at the moment, had PM9 previously and all been great and reliable. I believe that CW9 and P380 have the best trigger pulls in THEIR Class, something as compact and thin as kahrs. At hte price point of CW9 around $350 I really dont think you can beat that.

I say bite the bullet... I'm glad that I did. It's a great pistol for the price, and is quite thin and compact. The recoil was enjoyable IMO, especially compared to my old Glock 36 (.45ACP) - However my BIL commented that it quite a kick. YMMV. I really like the trigger too... It's light and smooth, but it is long, which I can appreciate given the previously mentioned attributes and that the pistol has no external safety, I think it adds up to make a safer pistol without all the lawyeristic mumbo jumbo added on. Comparing the trigger to a tuned DA revolver is fair enough.

My CW9 has functioned without issue and will replace my CZ75 as daily CCW during the summer months.

Would you mind sending me an IM about your experience with the P380, so as not to disturb the OP's thread? It looks like a fun little shooter, and a decent choice for those late night, last minute walks with the dog and other errands.

Just got back from the range with my CW9. Over 200 trouble free rounds. Remington UMC 115 gr, Blazer Brass 115gr, and about 25 Federal 135 gr low recoil JHP's . Shot it from 7 yards all the way out to 25 yards. Had no problem at 25 yards hitting the target.

I just racked it a few hundred times prior to shooting it and cleaned all the factory grease/oil out of it. For lube I just used CLP.

Really like the pistol and would recommend it to someone looking for a cc pistol.
