Anybody have any opinions on either weapon? Looking to buy a CCW piece in 45. Any feedback on the Colt Defender in 45? Thanks, John.

I have a Kahr CW45 and the Colt Defender (3in barrel 1911). They are basically the same size other than the Kahr being a little narrower and lighter due to the polymer frame. The CW is larger than the PM you asked about though. The PM45 while small, is not exactly a pocket pistol if that's what you were lookign for. I've picked up a PM45 and just felt the grip was too short for me to be comfortable with. The CW has a longer grip (one extra round) and feels better in my opinion than the PM model, but others seem to like it just fine. Between the CW and the Colt, I found I'm a better shot with the Colt, but I always seem to shoot 1911's better than other guns for whatever reason. I will say that the recoil of the CW with the polymer frame seems to be less than the heavier Colt.
As always, best bet is to try shooting them before buying one if possible.
I have a pm45 and love it. the trigger is awesome, weight and feel are awesome the only thing I changed was I got a set of big dot xs sights to replace the stock sights because I think that they just suck. I have put probably about 500 rounds thru it and only had one or two jams in the first 100 rounds after that it shot like my glock .
