help me choose night sights Springfield vs Trijicon
gotta send my XD in for service the rear sight is loose. for 105 bux they have the spring field armoy night sights and also the trijicon night sights. any differences?
My understanding is that springfield uses trijicon so they are one in the same. Maybe that has changed
I have a TRP and a Loaded. The TRP has the Trijicon night sights and the loaded has the SA night sights. I think they are the same sights.

i figured they were one in the same. i'll probably pick the trijicons just for the name
NOOOOOOOO! They are not the same. The S.A sights do use Trijicon Vials in them, but do not include the nice rubbery white circle around the vials. Real Trijicons have the white rings so you can use them during the day time. Plus there are a bunch of threads over at xdtalk.com were there are problems with the S.A. sights Loosing vials or being broken. If your going to pay 100.00 for sights get the real trijicons not the SA versions.
+1 for the real-deal tried-and-true Trijicons.
I have them on both my XD45 Tactical and XD45 Compact.
Just go with the Trijicons and be done with it.

Well crap. My Champion has been at SA for three months getting a makeover and night sights. I wish I had known that about the sights before I sent it in.
Now with the 1911`s they may really use trijicons, but with the XD series no they are different.
OP, why not send your xd to ajames for sight work? when i used to post on xdtalk a lot i planned to send a slide or two to ajames for sights but never could decide what to get.
