Anybody got one? What are your thoughts?

I am a Glock guy and have been for 20 years. For some reason, this pistol intrigues me.

here

and here

I think these are the best polymer framed pistols I've ever used, and I've used most all of them.

I should be getting mine tomorrow or Friday. With all the buzz, I'm kind of curious.

A buddy of mine just got his and man they are sweet. Iam looking to get the XDm 5.25 or a glock 34 for IDPA.

I got one yesterday. I've onwed several XDMs and this one has, by far, the best trigger. Very smooth and not at all loose. I'll add a Powder River overtravel stop and that will be it. I don't like the the wide front sight though. I will definitley change out to a Dawson .100. Very nice feeling gun overall. I can't wait to shoot it.

FYI, The trigger is identical to the other XDM's (though some feel better than others) and the only different parts from the XDM 4.5 are the slide, sights, and barrel. We stock the .100 sights for the XDM 5.25 but if you go elsewhere, you want to get one that is .225 tall.

Of the 5 or 6 I've owned previously, this one is by far the best. Luck of the draw I suppose, but nevertheless true.

I understood that, but I wanted to let folks know that there they are identical to the other XDM's and there were no changes made. to the trigger system.

aren't they supposed to have match fit barrels?

I was referring to no changes being made in the trigger system. The barrels are THE BEST factory fit barrels I have seen to date. The are using a new process to match the slide to barrels and it is working very well.

Not worth the extra price. It isn't anything special just looking it over. Trigger is poor for something marketed as competition.

Mine is absolutely worth the extra money. Better trigger than my previous XDMs (luck of the draw), melted adjustable rear and fiber optic front sights, a third magazine and shoots like a house on fire. $740 out the door.

You obviously have not shot it on the range. The sight upgrade alone is worth it and they are delivering a pistol that is more accurate by far than any other pistol in it's class. If you want a trigger more suited to your taste, order one from the custom shop and you will still be ahead of most custom competition pistols by a whole bunch on price.

Not if you compare it to the G34 or M&P Pro, all three are fine guns.

Well, I have had plenty of both through the shop and owned them both, and not had any them perform to the accuracy of the 5.25's. They are fine guns, but I have yet to see them perform to the accuracy level I've seen from the 5.25's. That is not to say that every one needs that ultra accuracy.

The accuracy issue you are 100% correct. Not
Many can outshoot a standard pistol accuracy like TGO or shooters at that level. Matter of fact it's the ones who can't hit the side of a barn and never practice are some of the biggest wanna be snobs.
I'm just a club hacker multigun/USPSA shooter.
However I did just yesterday receive my 5.25 from SpringerPrecision and the trigger is sweet. I am heading to the range in the morning to try it out.
Now if you guys or PistolGear had some 28+1 extensions and Bladetech had the holster out I'd be ready for the next multigun match.
