I will be using it for cc and home defense and I was looking for some suggestions on what ammo to use?
These are all ones that have worked for me. Currently using Critical Defense. My XD-40sc seemed to prefer things between under 165gr. I tried using some 180gr stuff once and it seemed to have larger groupings than the lighter stuff, but ICBW, and YRMV.

as long as your gun works with it, and I see no reason why it wouldn't, I say Cor Bon DPX. It feeds and shoots well in my xd, and all other guns that I use for defense.

+1 on the DPX. My XDSC as well as my HK's functions 100% with it.
