I'm looking for a 4" stainless .357 to replace my 6" GP 100. The three I'm looking at are:
S&W 66-1, very good condition, $475
Ruger Security Six, excellent condition, $410
Ruger GP 100, like new, $475

Opinions?

Step up to a nice 686

I prefer the action of Smiths over Rugers, but I think the GP is a bit stronger and will hold up to magnums better than
the k frame 66. I don't shoot a lot of .357 ammo so I would go with the Smith, but that's just me.

Well as the 66 w/ a 4" barrel was the first center fire handgun I fired as a kid, I've always had a fondness for them. Plus both my dad and brother have one with zero issues. The SA trigger pull on my dad's is the cleanest, lightest I've ever seen in 25+ yrs of shooting.

Of those, the 66. But I would also go with a 686
