My "new" S&W model 64
Man that's a nice clean looking S&W. You did a great job cleaning it up. I have never heard of Robertson's Trading Post. Will have to go to the site and check them out.

Max,
Robertson's sells their items on the Guns America website. You can go to the Robertson's Trading Post website and click on CURRENT INVENTORY which will take you directly to their items on Guns America.
The great thing about Robertson's is the fact that they take plenty of pictures of the items they sell and give great descriptions of the firearms. Here is the closed listing on the exact revolver I bought: http://www.gunsamerica.com/classifieds/view/_932880144.aspx# (Sorry, don't know how to hot link). Check out their descriptions, very thorough! Another plus is that shipping is only $10 for handguns and was in my hands in 2 days! No CC fees, very friendly and helpful over the phone, GTG in my book!

Very nice purchase.
Very nice!

Very nice!

Do you know if any of the 64's they have for sale are round butts?

I believe they are all square butts.

Very nice!!!
I am a roundbutt man

but for that price...schweet.
I think Pachmayr made "small" presentation grips for the K frame as well.

You are correct, but I believe the large presentation's are the only ones being currently made.
I've been looking at the Pachmayr Professional Gripper grips with the open backstrap. I hear good things about them and they are affordable. I don't mind the presentation's but the back of the grips cover the backstrap and are a little "sharp" feeling in the palm of my hand. I would prefer a more rounded feel.

Good job on the polishing.
I have a sweet M66 that gleams from the polishing.
Try the FS section of the S&W forums.
I got a pair of really small Pachs for my daughter's Md.36
Great bunch of guys over there.
So, you talked me into it. I walked into Robertson's and picked out a model 64-5 for my wife today. I told them what I wanted and they brought out three guns for us to look at. The one we got was marked VG condition on the box. It's hard to beat a stainless S&W revolver.

Congrats! Wish I was close enough look at them in person.
I just picked several off of the GunsAmerica website and walked in to look at them. They were great to deal with and very patient as we took our time looking them over. I've been working it over with Mother's, I'll post pics when I'm done with it.
ETA: Not to hijack, but here's mine. Took the Uncle Mike's off and added the Hogue, it feels much better and I can see the grooved backstrap.

Still need to polish some more.

I picked one up just before Christmas and couldnt be happier.
Wow, and I thought I was doing pretty good getting a police trade in at the local fun show for $356. Nice looking gun, i'm definitely going to have to polish mine up with mothers!

I went back to get a 2" and it was gone.
