Am looking at picking one up from a guy here. Says the gun is "like new' very few rnds through it.
Comes with 3 boxes of FMJ ammo for $280.
Fair price?
Also, is Ruger's warranty transferable?

Gander Mountain (of all places) had them @ Christmas for $299...I would think you could get a better price. Used is still used.

Depending on the ammo, it could be $45 worth of ammo being sold with the gun. Actually not a bad price if the gun is in pristine condition. I would test fire the gun first to make sure he isn't just dumping a lemon, then offer him $250.
I've seen them 280-289 at gunshows used. I personally would buy new so I have Ruger's warranty for peace of mind. Three boxes of ammo isnt a huge deal imho.
I have seen them at more than one gun show here in Texas for $249....NIB.
I would talk him down a bit. If it comes with an extra mag, I would buy it at that price.
I don't think it's to bad of a price.
I just sold a brand new one for $265 shipped
Ruger has no warranty.
From there web page.
Why No Warranty Card Has Been Packed With Your New Ruger Firearm?
The Magnuson-Moss Act (Public Law 93-637) does not require any seller or manufacturer of a consumer product to give a written warranty. It does provide that if a written warranty is given, it must be designated as "limited" or as "full" and sets minimum standards for a "full" warranty. Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. has elected not to provide any written warranty, either "limited" or "full", rather than to attempt to comply with the provisions of the Magnuson-Moss Act and the regulations issued thereunder. There are certain implied warranties under state law with respect to sales of consumer goods. As the extent and interpretation of these implied warranties varies from state to state, you should refer to your state statutes. Sturm, Ruger & Company wishes to assure its customers of its continued interest in providing service to owners of Ruger firearms
Ruger will take care of any of their firearms if there is a problem, even if you are not the original owner. They are well known for this.

They have no warranty card packed with the gun does not mean they have no warranty dude. Ruger stands behind all their guns and will take care of anything they produced.

Yes they do. That is what I was meaning to say.............. But did it poorly.
I just picked up a new one at a Florida gun show for $269.
Prices on the LCP seem to finally be coming down.
just picked a LNIB for $265 shipped today
I picked up a used one from someone local several months back for $225. Guy said it had two mags through it (12 rounds) and I believe him. Thing had no wear on it at all when I got it. It has been 100% trouble free for me.
nada
I'm buying one today, used, with 3 mags and a holster, for $300.
It looks high but this is the way I look at it -
Cheapest locally I could find it was $289 w/ 1 mag.
Add close to 10% tax and that takes it to ~$320.
$20/ magazine takes it to $360.
Now if I were to buy one online I might be able to find it for $260 shipped(ish) but then I'd have to pay an FFL fee AND sales tax.
So, for me, $300 used with no paper is a great deal.

You get charged sales tax for out of state transfers? I never get charged sales tax. It is an automatic 9.5 % discount for me.
Yep - it's a new thing. The queen needs her cut. You even get taxed if it's a gift or trade on fair market value.
Local shop has them new for $269 and comes with a second mag and a box of federal hollowpoints. Think I might have to bite on this deal.
I just bought a brand new one from Farm King for $289.
ETA: + tax
$265 NIB off of Equipment Exchange, 3 months ago.
I paid $240 out the door for one with an extra mag with the finger extension and a Nemisis pocket holster. Pistol is mint...I was told it had exactly 50 rounds through it.
I bought mine NIB for 252.00 out the door in November.
