Kimber Eclipse Pro for CCW?

Im looking to a 1911 for EDC, and I really like the Eclipse II Pro. The only modification I get done is have the grip Bobtailed.
Im 5'10" and about 150lbs, and back in AK I carried a G30 IWB but its just too hot here for me to dress around the double stack grip of the g30. (And Ive always wanted an Eclipse so now i have a reason to get one
)
It would be carried with an Mtac(till I can order the VM2)
Anybody have one that can give me some feedback on it? Or does anybody have one that has been Bob'd?
How bout a reliable place to get a 1911 Bob'd?

Eclipse Pro2 has been my daily carrier for three years.
Every day, all weather - VM2.
Hot weather with shorts & a T-shirt over it. After awhile you get used to the weight.
Feel naked without it. Great gun!
