 Failure to return to battery?

I have a Kimber Gold Combat RL II, that I got used a while ago. I've been having problems with the slide not returning to battery. The round partially feeds, but not all the way. I'm using Wilson Combat 47D magazines. The issue happens most often with Speer Lawman ammo, but occasionally with Federal 230 grain FMJ as well. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Your extractor may be too tight. The round may not be seating under the extractor correctly on the way into the chamber. Check your feedramp as well and make sure that its smooth without any damage. As always see if you can try different mags.

Don't give up, I had quirks with mine at first. I had problem with it feeding almost all hollowpoints known to man.
I sent it back to kimber and the did there magic to the barrel and installed a new modified slide stop.
It then feed all the hollowpoint that it would not feed before the Kimber magic was done.
I polished the feed ramp to a mirror finish and the guiderod also. It's a dream gun now.
