 Kimber flush 8 rd mags

All my mags for my 1911 are either flush 7 rd mags, or slightly extended 8 round mags, like the Wilson 47D or Novaks.
I always felt fitting 8 rounds in the same tube designed for 7 rds led to more spring tension, and a shortened follower.

For those of you who have extensively shot the flush Kimber 8 rd mags, what kind of reliability have you had?

I've had zero issues with 8 round Kimber mags in 5" kimbers for the last several years and as of late I've had zero issues with the 7 round mags in the shorter 3.5" Kimber ultra carry.

No problems in the 6 I have, some of them are loaded 24/7 and shoot fine.

Do the 7 rounds fit flush on the Ultra? Mine has Magwell but the Mag buttpad sticks below it some.

Yes, the stock 7 round mags for the ultra fit flush with the butt of the pistol. They use the same follower as the 8 round govt model mags so the follower makes up for the lost space for the round in the mag.
