I am considering making my first 1911 purchase, a Desert Warrior, and have some doubts
I recently took a 4 day pistol course and everyone using 1911 seem to have malfunctions even the instructors
Most of them were high end 1911
So my question is after the break in period will a Desert Warrior run reliably
I have H&K & Sig and though they have all had a malfunction or two it is very rare and usually ammo or operator related
Thank you for your response
My Warrior, 500 round break in with ZERO malfunctions.
I was still getting a few feeding issues while breaking in my Desert Warrior. I sent it back to Kimber after 800 rds, they did a reliability package, and it's been reliable for the past 2k rds. Since we're showing off our Warriors, here's mine. Excuse the G22.

Fortunately I have had 0 problems with my Warrior. I did want to try to make it more accurate but then again who doesn't. I tinkered with the trigger a bit and love it but 0 problemos!!!
Mine has run perfectly since round 1. Didn't need a "break-in".
Just went through a class with mine in October. No failures... about 300 to 400 rounds of Fiocchi ball.

Looks like a wraparound insert under the grip panels.
