My Kimber back from ROBAR

I got my Kimber Compact CDP back from ROBAR today. They did a great job. The finish is now urban combat ready. If you don't like your pistol finish this is the way to go. SRM

I have occasionally gotten grief in the "post your carry piece" threads because my 10 year old Robarized Commander still looks like a safe queen - the grips and Novak sights are the only parts that show the least sign of age. Mine has a different finish, but I'd be surprised if you aren't totally satisfied with the work for years to come.

Question. It's your Kimber a Series I CDP Compact or a Series II?
Also what was teh option on NP3 you went with? The standard or Plus.
Also what was the exact option you selected? (Slide + Internals + Mag?)

Looks like a new CDP to me? I wonder if Robar can fix the Kimber sight notches and put in Warren sights???

I had my Compact CDP 2 refinished by ROBAR with the Roguard satin for the black and standard NP3 for the slide. They only kept my pistol about 5 weeks. I even got a 20% discount from a summer promotion. The finish only cost me $258 plus shipping, $40 I think.
This is a military grade finish developed for the spec ops guys. My pistol will look new long after I am gone.
I did not like my grips so I bought "FRAG" grips from VZ Grips. I plan on replacing the sights with XS Big Dot sights soon. SRM
EDIT- ROBAR even did one magazine for the price.

Yes it is a great look and added lubricity a bonus, these guys are two blocks from my office here in phoenix, I stopped by on Friday and they showed me some 1911 slides and ar bolts they did...I am thinking the same thing for my Kimber Pro Carry HD II, great guys, class outfit,... I walked in a with a new pair of tritiums for my Kimber and they slapped em on in 10 minutes, no charge.
