Just picked up my .50 from ffl preaty awsome !
seems like the springs are weaker in the .50 than in the .44 mag.
maybe the springs are wore out or maybe it is just me .

The springs are the same for .50ae and .44mag. The entire platform with the exception of the barrel stays the same.
I'm not 100% but I believe switching to .357 is the same also except in addition it requires the bolt to be switched out.
