The new XIX comes with a more ergonomic "thumb friendly" safety lever. Anyone know if these are interchangable with the old XIX guns, so I can get rid of that ridiculous "fish hook "safety lever?
No... I want to get rid of my fish hook safety levers and use the new 2010 "ergonomic" levers. According to April/May G&A Handgun magazine, MRI has abandoned the fish hook levers on their 2010 XIX and gone back to the old old style..
The mark 1's came with the old style safety lever, and yes, you can change out the levers between all the models.

The new 2010 safety levers do not look exactly like the old pre-fishhook Mk I style. The new ones have a smaller raised "button" on the end of the teardrop safey. Look on the cover of G&A Handguns (April/May). I do not see anywhere on MRI's website where you can order the new style safety. They offer the fishhook style versions to change out the older styles.
So....any pics

I haven't seen G&A lately around here...
Sorry, I don't have a picture of the new Desert Eagle.
I have a mk1 and that teardrop lever is a pain to reach and use. I am 6'3" and have pretty long fingers.
