Any use of these guys? How do they compare? I bought two but haven't had a chance to shoot with them yet. Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with them. I searched and didn't find anything. Just on a function test they seem to work well. TIA

I have two and they'll sometimes jam on the last round because it somehow jumped out and halfway into the chamber while the slide was back and it'll lock there.

Otherwise I'll get a FTF where the cartridge is half in the chamber but still at an upward angle. They work okay for screwing around, but I wouldn't take one hunting.

I always use factory mags.

Ok I am finding that the rounds will sit nose down in the mag and sometimes not feed correctly...

You can try bending the feed lips a little at the rear end, but always remember, "There Ain't No Such Think As A Free Lunch." You bought the cheaper ones and they don't work too goood.

CDNN's got factory mags or you can call Magnum Research and they'll get you the hookup.

I have three factory mags. I just wanted to try these out. The spring tension seems better in the promags but pretty much everything about them sucks. If I can't chamber a round on an open slide I sure as hell wouldn't trust them more than plinking at the range. But then again I do not carry this boat anchor as my daily carry lol.

LOL! If you took your Desert Eagle CCW, you'd be my hero!

I can't imagine having one of those on my hip and have to sit down. Also I don't want to ruin the finish on my nicely Black Chrome Desert Eagle.

+1

I worry about the finish too. I'd never carry this thing CCW or OC. Just too big and impractical. I'll take my G19 over it any day.

I carry my 44 DE ccw in a gould and goodrich shoulder holster. It's not too bad.

Yup. I'm going to be needin' an action figure now...

As much as I love the thought of being able to carry the huge ballistic advantage the Desert Eagle presents, the pistol is just too heavy and doesn't have the ammunition capacity I want in a CCW piece. It is possibly the most accurate pistol I've ever fired, but at 6'1" and 190 it wouldn't exactly be inconspicuous unless I was wearing my Carhartt and bibs.

I do it during winter under a heavy coat for grins. I'm 6'3" 220# and it does hide away pretty good. I carry a Colt 1911 under a light jacket in a galco miami classic horizontal shoulder rig. In warm weather a Kahr Mk9 iwb is what I carry.

Ok I took the mags to the range. Garbage. Both of them jammed on almost every single round. I just cannot get them to function. In the trash can they go. They are useless. I may keep the springs though. They do have good high tension springs.

WASTE OF $$

Pretty much everything I've ever gotten from Promag is junk.

I simply can't think of any magazine from those inept bastards at promag and USA Mag that have ever ran without jamming either every or every other round.

Sorry you had to waste your money. Like I said before, CDNN's got factory ones, or just call up Magnum research and get them there.

I got lucky with my DE .50 pro-mag (for the most part the slide hold open is the only thing that never works)

I stopped buying their magazines after I figured out I could MODIFY other mags to work better than Pro-mag... I dont see how they put enough effort into getting their magazines to where they are, yet continue to let small details complety foul them up. Its almost as if they manufacture magazines to the point of where they LOOK good, then call it a day... granted Ive only tried promag for 3 different weapons.
