So I got a HK45 a while ago,. And added the P30S not to long ago,. Today was the first day I had them both out on the range at the same time. I had used the 45 for my EDC until I got the P30,. I love that both guns fit the same holsters that I have & the controls are nearly identical with the exception of the decocker. I am absolutely happy with my pistols,. And if given the choice I would def buy them again and again.

Figure I would share the homage picture of my two favorite pistols...

Nice pair of handguns there.

The only thing that matches a HK45 better is the P30L. It's with a few FRCHs of being the same length.

Nice pistols. A P30 LS is my daily carry gun and I haven't found a more comfortable handgun so far.

That sure is a pretty HK45 you got there. I just traded one just like it a while back and her twin sister is still mad at me over it! Yours is the only one other than the 2 I had that I have seen with the ambi selector on it.

Getting the ambi safety is the first thing I have done.

This is actually the second HK 45 I have owned,. I got into a tough spot financially and sold the first. That one also got the ambi safety as well. I figure these pistols will rotate duty as my "everything" pistol. While I do not need to have the ability to completely operate the pistol with my left hand it is nice to know I can if I had too.

Cool pistols.

Watch out with using the same holsters for both. Trigger guards are different. I ordered a kydex holster for my HK45C.
They used a P30 mold to make it, thought they were shaped the same. No Go. The trigger
guards are shaped different. Pistol wouldn't snap in right. The company fixed it for me. Just FYI.

Good point to remember, I have not run into this issue with the full size HK45 & P30S yet. The only two holsters I have that latch or lock on the trigger guard are a CTAC and a Blackhawk CQC. Both work fine with either and I have leather OWB ( thumb break ) & IWB that fit both but the OWB squeaks when you walk around.

Come to think of it the two leather holsters are for P30L's, the CQC is for a P30 and the CTAC is for a HK45. When using the CQC with the HK45 the last inch or two of the slide sticks out the bottom of the holster where it is flush with the P30. (the opposite happens with the CTAC)

I'd like to find a drop leg holster that works with both,. But that is going to have to wait until after the holidays.
