How much is a used USP 9 worth?

I have been cruising looking for deals on glocks and xdm's locally and I found a used USP 9 with a tag for 550 which is about what I would be paying for a glock or xdm anyway. Is that a pretty good deal? You could tell it was a little used but certainly nothing looked wrong with it. If I could get them to 500 should I just snatch it up?

I think that $500.00 is a good price if it has a couple mags.. But I am kinda partial to theses weapons.

This thread made me realize $700 is too much for a used Compact 9 with night sights and two magazines.

Thanks.

Hmm I can't decide if it's worth it over a glock or xdm. It's heavier, has the shitty rail, holds less ammo, but damn it looks sexy.

Man,
Nothing like somebody that wants/expects something for nothing! Today, I sent out my one year old HK USP (9mm/15 rounds(+1)) SD loaded with about 200 rounds run through her. I added Meprolite Adjustable Night Sights (an extra $215.00 installed by HK) afterwards, an HK Rail Adapter ($45.00) and a Streamlight TLS1 ($125.00). All told, this gun cost me almost $1550.00 + taxes NIB last year. Unfortunately (for me), I also had the Raven Concealment (OWB/IWB) holster made for this HK's set up: w/light and rail, and a (IWB/OWB) double magazine holder. I think the holster and mag set up was about $185.00 last year. I just bought a LaRue OBR and wanted to free up some idle iron for a scope and other accessories so as not to have to pillage my SCAR 16 for her bipod or FUGs, etc...Quality has never been cheap. Just because our world is a little fk'd up doesn't mean you get 'quality metal' for free. Seen the price of gold lately?

My gun shop friend said I should be able to get $850-$950 easily, for the HK alone, at the local gun show. That is the real numbers for a cherry HK, even right now! My Kimber CPDII .45 isn't as well built as the HK USP or the German Made Sig P226 - yet I am reading that "$500 is too much?'' Maybe if the HK you are looking at has had +5K rounds through it, has no sights, carries a few slide dings and has a cracked grip piece! HK's are not Blocks, fellas! For Reference, the Gun Shop where I bought the pistol offered me $700.00. Not a bad price considering any gun shop is going to give you about 1/2 what you paid, as they have huge overhead and there was also no trade on the table for them. I also would have taken off the Meprolite Adj. Raised Night Sights, barrel cap and the feet on the mags for them for that price.

So I just let my best man's nephew "have" it all for $750.00 + shipping + transfer fee. He will love it, take great care of it and he also KNOWS he STOLE it for that price! While I am about 1K light in my wallet, at least I didn't have to answer one dumb question about that pistol's cost (or value). I also made a friend very happy, too and that is money in the bank.

Best of luck in finding that "Cherry HK USP" for 'around $500.' When you find it, you will want to keep it in your ($55K) 2011 Model Year Bentley Coupe, in case of a car jacking or other emergency arises! I hope it shoots straight!

Uh, I was just saying I stumbled across a used HK USP 9 for $550. I was asking if I should try to grab it and see if I can get them down to 500 even. I know it is a good deal I just don't now what they typically go for.

He's not talking about a USP SD... they go for a lot more than just a standard USP. $500-$550 would be a pretty good deal on the USP depending on condition, number of mags and if it comes with its box.

$550 is a good deal. $500 is a steal.

All they can say is no. If they say no offer $525.

Fwiw, I bought a used USP 9 for $400. Came in a hard gray blow molded box.

4 years ago I bought a NIB USP 9 SD for $800 out the door with hk bag, thread protector, cleaning kit and a HK polo shirt.

$550 is too much.

I've seen the USP SD models going for around $1030 lately. Price has gone up !
