PPK/S manufacturing details??

Anyone have any insight on determining the manufacturing date/details of the PPK/S?
My PPK/S is stainless, Made in USA, Interarms, sn S030xxx, purchased used - early 90's
scribe marks under right handgrip: 5 80
Any steerage would be greatly appreciated

S0176xx mid 1970's
S030xxx and I got it new in the Mid 70's
S032037 bought it new for 1/11/86 and the test target says 8/26 (1985?)
S032XXX was made around 1985
S036386 was made in the mid '80s.
S044153 date on the target is 8-24-87
S0618xx and it was purchased new in 07/1989
S101380 2/25/1993
S110766 Target Date December 12, 1993 ?????????
S117XXX target dated 5-15-94
S158845 was test fired on February 18, 1999
S1598xx test fired on 6/24/1999
From 1978 to 1999, USA Walther PPK/S were manufactured by Ranger Manufacturing in Gadsden Alabama and distributed by Interarms.
S prefix serial number, indicates an Interarms, "Under License of", "Made in USA" (Ranger Mfg) Stainless PPK/s in .380

took the little lady out today
and noticed under the handgrips on the right side, scribe marks:
5 80
May of 1980 may make sense.....
